Export Guide

Once your data is processed and looks the way you want it to, you will likely need to export it for reports, presentations, or further analysis in other software.

Export Formats

DIG supports exporting your data in several different formats:

  • GeoTIFF: Best for creating high-quality, georeferenced maps. This is the recommended format if you plan to use GIS software like QGIS or ArcGIS.
  • CSV (Comma-Separated Values): Best if you need the raw numbers for statistical analysis or want to create your own custom plots in software like Excel or Python.
  • GeoJSON: Useful for web mapping and some digital databases.
  • PNG/JPEG: Great for popping a quick image into a Word document or presentation. Keep in mind that these image formats do not retain geographic coordinate information.

How to Export

  1. Go to the Export tab in the main menu.
  2. Select your desired file format from the dropdown.
  3. Choose the coordinate system if you are exporting a geographic format (like GeoTIFF).
  4. Click Export and choose where to save the file on your computer.

For instructions on how to take these exported files into specific programs, check our Integration Guides.
